Diary of a Working Mom-

I've wanted to create a blog for awhile, but just haven't really figured out my niche.  Then, it came to me at 12:30 in the morning, and I thought 'Why not get it going right now?'  Hence, my first blog and post.  Where do I see myself going with this?  Well, I want this blog to be a diary of sorts, but also be useful to working mothers and stay at home mothers in saving time, coming up with great ideas for spending time with family, and keeping all together!!  (If it's at all possible, which I don't know if it is!) I want this blog to also be a resource for me so that I can get feedback on things that will help me with both of my jobs: working and being a mother.

If given the choice, I wouldn't work.  I am a sixth grade reading teacher, and I like my job, but ever since I was little, I have wanted to be a stay at home mom.  My mom was a stay at home mom, and I always wanted to be like her.  My reality is...that is not an option.  I guess you could say, that I do get the best of both worlds.  Being a teacher is a pretty great job for someone that wants to be at home with their kids.  (Part of the reason I chose the profession, well, and because I love kids).  I work 180 days a year and the rest of the days I spend at home.    

I know both sides, I know what it's like to be a working mom and a stay-at-home mom.  Neither is easy, but for me it's harder to be a working one.  Simply because I miss the snot out of my kids.  It breaks my heart to know that someone is cuddling them during the day (in all reality I'm sure there's not much cuddling going on-not a slam on my provider, but kids are busy!).  But, I want to be there with them, go crazy because of them, and be there for them.

So, there you have it, a little bit about myself and my first blog post!
